I have been wanting to drive a car since I was ten years old. That was one of dreams all the time. My father used to tell me that I would have to wait till I was twenty-one. At that time, I didn't understand at all why the age was important. When I was twenty-one and started taking driving lessons, I became aware of the need to be of age to do well, how difficult driving a car was, and how competent one needed to be. Taking driving tests for the license was very much a big challenge. To be sure of success, I attended the course at a driving school. It was a very well known driving school in the City I was living. I would say it was one of the most popular driving schools in the region, with many excellent instructors. I had a very competent instructor too, one of the best at the school. He made sure that I remained on the defensive when driving. I certainly kept very careful and remained defensive when driving amid heavy traffic. I noted some of the drivers were quite reckless and were far from being defensive. They would not even pay attention to the rights of way. As a procedure, I had to go for the theory test first. I was so excited and pretty scared too. But, I did well with the theory test, and pretty sure I did well. Sure enough, when the results came out, I stood first at the theory test of the day. That was a very exciting day. The following day was the big day, going for the driving practice test. My instructor told me that he was confident that I would do well at the driving practice test. Very encouraging words indeed. But, I failed at the first time. Quite disappointing. I had to go for the driving practice test again the following. I was very nervous since I failed in the first time. But, every thing went well and I passed the driving practice test at the second time. My instructor was so happy too, shaking hands and congratulating me. That was the day I would never forget in my life. One of the happiest days in my life.
