I had been used to driving schools over the past year but I had a problem with the instructors usually. They seemed very harsh to me. My last one had a moped and called himself Sebastian. His real name was Nigel however. He ran 'Auto Train' - he told me that everything ran automatically until I arrived. I didn't quite know what to say about that. I felt his style of teaching was quite abusive. Still there were many schools that I could say that about.

'Auto Drive' was recommended to me by my fathers friend. He told me that drove mopeds. I looked at him curious but he told me I would get more satisfaction out of that, then driving a car. I thought he was joking at first but then I remembered he had a Moped. So I signed up and as the weeks passed by I felt I really enjoyed it. Auto Drive was much more my kind of place. The teaching was very patient and disciplined.

Of all the schools I would say that this was my ideal partner since it was like me in many respects.I learnt from a guy called Simon Day, who told me that after experiencing many schools himself, it had been his dream to make one that felt like home. So I enjoyed it, I liked my instructor and the Moped itself was ok.Ok I had never planned to buy one, but as transport goes it was an option. It was also a less expensive option which was appealing to me.

I just wanted a vehicle that would get me from A to B. I really didn't dream about driving a car.I guess when we think about these things, it's more natural to think car because we see more of them - well I seem to anyway. I never really thought of it before until now. My parents didn't mind. They weren't overly keen on motorbikes but a Moped was fine providing I took my studies seriously. So I worked hard to pass my tests and I did and my environment played a big part in my success.
